Then the angel said to the women in reply,
“Do not be afraid! I know that you are
seeking Jesus the crucified.  He is not
here, for he has been raised just as he
said.  Come and see the place where
he lay. (Matthew 28:5-5)
and in that moment everything changed.

My sisters and brothers, as we prepare to once again celebrate the gift of our salvation, I want to wish each of you the hope, joy and love of Easter.

May we join with all creation to celebrate and rejoice in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. I will hold each of you in my thoughts and prayers as I celebrate the Sacred Triduum, that the Spirit of the risen Christ might guide, guard, bless and protect you this Easter and forever. As a people of the Resurrection, may we walk always in the light and grace of Our Lord’s victory over sin and death.

Wishing you and your loved ones the happiest and holiest of Easters.

God Bless,
+ James P. Powers
