Lenten fish fry, Amery
St. Joseph, Amery, holds three Lenten fish fries 4:30-7 p.m. Friday, March 15. Menu includes baked or deep-fried fish, potato, baby red or scalloped potatoes, green beans, roll, coleslaw and dessert. Beverages include coffee, milk or lemonade. Beer and wine available to purchase. Cost is $13 for adults; $7 for ages 6-11; ages 5 and younger eat free. St. Anthony Parish, Superior, holds Lenten fish fries on Fridays during Lent, 4-6:30 p.m. Fried or baked fish, mashed or baked potato, coleslaw, vegetable, pickled beets, roll, dessert and beverage. Take-out available. Cost: $13 for adults; $6 for students; preschoolers eat free. Parish is handicapped accessible. Local deliveries available by calling 715-398-3261, Monday through Thursday.

The Knights of Columbus hold Lenten fish fries, 4:30-6 p.m., every Friday during Lent, at Our Lady of Sorrows School gym, Ladysmith. Menu includes baked or fried fish, baked potato or French fries, rolls, coleslaw, cake, milk or coffee. Cost is $13 for adults; $7 for grade-schoolers; preschoolers eat free. Take-outs are $14. Lenten retreat in Solon Springs
A Lenten Retreat, “Healing Time of Lent,” will be presented by the Center for Spirituality and Enrichment from St. Scholastica Monastery, Duluth, on Saturday, March 16, 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., at St. Pius X in Solon Springs. Event includes a reconciliation service and lunch provided by the Council of Catholic Women. Reservations appreciated. 715-378-4431.

St. Patrick’s Day dinner, Washburn
The Washburn Knights of Columbus Council 6702 hosts a St. Patrick’s Day dinner on March 17, 4:30-7 p.m., at the St. Louis parish hall. Serving traditional corned beef and cabbage and ham. Cost is $15 for adults; $10 for children. Dessert and beverage included. Take-outs available. 715-373-2676.

Sacred Heart, Almena, hosts a corned beef and cabbage dinner, 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Menu includes corned beef, cabbage, potatoes, carrots, dinner rolls, dessert and beverage.
Cost is $12 for adults; $5 for ages 12 and younger. Hot dog plates available for $3. Carry-outs available.

Chorale hosts spring concerts
The Blue Hills Chorale performs spring/Easter concerts at Nathaniel Lutheran Church, Bruce, at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, March 20; Our Lady of Sorrows Church, Ladysmith, at 1:30 p.m., on Saturday, March 23; Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Weyerhaeuser, at 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 24; and St. Anthony Abbot Catholic Church, Cumberland, on Wednesday, March 27, at 7 p.m.

Lenten soup luncheons, Chetek
Lenten soup luncheons are on Wednesday, March 20, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the fellowship hall. Freewill offerings benefit “Light the Way,” for the families of fallen officers Emily Breidenback and Hunter Scheel.

March 24
Roast beef dinner, Superior
St. Francis Xavier, Superior, holds its annual roast beef dinner on March 24, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., in the church hall. Meal includes roast beef, gravy, mashed potatoes, green beans, coleslaw, dinner roll and dessert. Tickets are $12 for adults; $5 for ages 6-12; ages 5 and younger eat free. Dine-in, take-out and delivery available.
