Catholics seeking an enriching Advent retreat can attend one of two Advent Days of Reflection hosted by the Diocese of Superior in early December.

Speaker Ryan O’Hara, director of mission resources for Saint Paul’s Outreach, a national campus ministry headquartered in West Saint Paul, Minnesota, returns this year to speak on “The Parents and the Prophet:  Three Advent figures that can help us prepare the way of the Lord.”

Discussions will examine how God used John the Baptist, Mary and Joseph to prepare the way for Jesus, and how Catholics are called to do likewise.

The events are Friday, Dec. 2, from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes, Dobie, and from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 3, at St. Peter the Fisherman, Eagle River.

The events include three engaging talks; Mass; opportunities for the sacrament of reconciliation; and ample time for reflection.
Cost to attend is $35 per person; advance registration is preferred. To register, call 715-234-5044 or email .

Walk-ins are also welcome. Registration begins at 9 a.m. Friday and 10 a.m. Saturday.
