Fr. Madanu Sleeva Raju, parochial administrator of Ss. Peter and Paul, Gilman, honored married couples in his parish cluster with an anniversary Mass, Sunday, June 28. Couples married 25 years or longer were invited to renew their vows. Fr. Jim Powers, diocesan administrator and pastor of the Rice Lake parish cluster, concelebrated the Mass. In honor of Fr. Powers’ 25th year of ordination, Fr. Sleeva presented him with an Indian shawl and turban.
Forty-two couples attended the anniversary Mass, including Frank and Mary Lencz, who were celebrating 74 years of marriage. Couples processed up the aisle together; following Mass, each couple was presented to the parish, blessed and encircled with a rosary. A luncheon followed. (Submitted photos)
