Sarah Robole, a former resident of Rice Lake, was accepted into the novitiate of the Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity, Manitowoc, at the Rite of Initiation into Religious Life on July 22.
During the afternoon ceremony, Sr. Natalie Binversie, community director of the Franciscan Sisters, conferred upon Robole the religious name Sr. Maria Thérèse.
Sr. Maria Thérèse is the daughter of Kathryn Schmidbauer and Bradley Robole. Her home parish is Our Lady of Lourdes, Dobie. She has been a student at Silver Lake College of the Holy Family and will continue to pursue a degree after her novitiate.
