Despite a heat index of 100, St. Dominic Catholic Church in Frederic welcomed parishioners and neighbors for its 63rd annual Summer Festival the last weekend of July. All enjoyed a pulled pork lunch and pie. Activities including raffles, a silent auction, basket drawings and water games. From preparing food and serving meals to setting up tables, canopies and activity areas, dozens of parish members worked behind the scenes throughout the day. Fr. Thomas Naveen Sagili drew the names of the winners of the handmade quilt and cash prizes. Here, parishioners enjoy lunch and the ring toss game.
