How to submit briefs for the calendar page

Local briefs is a summary of events and programs held in the Diocese of Superior. Parishes and organizations are asked to submit event notices via email, fax or postal mail by Wednesday noon, the week before the publication date. Retreat, Marathon
St. Anthony Retreat Center, Marathon, hosts a “We have Happy – Not Stressed – Holidays” retreat Nov. 22-23. Recycled Christmas, Hayward
St. Joseph, Hayward, and St. Ann, Cable, hold their annual Recycled Christmas sale at St. Joseph Church. Proceeds to benefit youth programs at both parishes. 715-634-2867.

Cookie stroll, Superior
St. Francis Xavier, Superior, holds its annual cookie stroll, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Cookies, breads and candies for sale. Cookies cost $7 per pound. 715-399-8564.

Christmas sale, Clear Lake
St. John, Clear Lake, holds its annual Christmas bazaar, craft and bake sale, 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Refreshments include morning rolls and coffee, soup and homemade breads. Sales feature nativity sets, indoor and outdoor décor and handcrafted items. 715-265-7133.
