How to submit briefs for the calendar page
Local briefs is a summary of events and programs held in the Diocese of Superior. Parishes and organizations are asked to submit event notices via email, fax or postal mail by Wednesday noon, the week before the publication date. Spaghetti dinner, Presque Isle
St. Rita, Presque Isle, holds its annual spaghetti dinner at the Presque Isle Community Center, 4:30-8 p.m. The all-you-care-to-eat dinner includes spaghetti, meatballs, salad, garlic bread, beverage and dessert. Ss. Peter and Paul, Gilman, hosts a bazaar. Mass is at 10 a.m., followed by a buffet-style dinner, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Meal includes oven-fired chicken, Polish sausage and sauerkraut, mashed potatoes and gravy, dressing, green means, rolls, pie, coffee, milk and more. Birthday celebration, Superior
St. Francis Xavier, Superior, hosts a party in honor of Fr. Jim Tobolski’s 60th birthday.

Parish and school retreat, Hammond

Outdoor Mass and sweet corn festival, Amery
St.Joseph, Amery, will hold an outdoor Mass and sweet corn festival, starting at 10:30 a.m. at Michael Park, Amery. JC Rock from River Falls will be provide music. The event will include faith formation registration, backpack and car key blessing and youth games and prizes. Brats, hot dogs, sweet corn and more will be served following Mass for a free will donation.
Fall festival, Rib Lake
Good Shepherd, Rib Lake, holds its annual fall festival, starting with a 9 a.m. polka Mass. Dinner will follow, served 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., or until gone.
