“One Nation Under God,” Chetek
St. Boniface, Chetek, commemorates the nation’s 250th anniversary with a first Friday Mass, 24 hours of adoration and 12 hours of reconciliation on July 3; A prayer station and concessions during the Liberty Fest parade on July 4; and High Mass featuring a men’s Schola choir on July 5, followed by a free ice cream social. sspbandj.org. 715-925-6124.

July 5
Concert, Eagle River
St. Peter the Fisherman, Eagle River, hosts “Celebrate the Sound,” a concert and fish boil, 2:30 p.m. Event includes a 50/50 raffle, bake sale and performances by Laura and Gerry Plank, Maria Krueger, Griffin Beyer, Joseph Laudando, Jeff Burbach, Norma Yaeger, Kate Janssen and the St. Peter’s Choir. Cost is $20 per person or $35 per family. Tickets may be purchased after Mass, at the cluster office or online at northernlakescatholics.org. Proceeds will fund an acoustic upgrade and roof repair.

July 12
St. Kateri Mass, Lac du Flambeau
St. Anthony of Padua, Lac du Flambeau, honors St. Kateri Tekakwitha on Sunday, July 12. Mass will be celebrated by Bishop James P. Powers, 11 a.m., followed by a feast of venison stew, pork sandwiches, baked beans, wild rice, walleye, corn on the cob, homemade salads, fry break, berries, cake and beverages. Meal is free. July 14
Church rededication, Merrill
St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Merrill, will be rededicated on Tuesday, July 14, starting with 5 p.m. Mass celebrated by Bishop James P. Powers, with Fr. Jim Horath, Fr. Christopher Kemp, Fr. Golf tournament, Ashland
Our Lady of the Lake School, Ashland, hosts an 18-hole golf tournament at Chequamegon Bay Golf Course, 10 a.m. Entry fee is $300 for a four-person team, which includes green fees and cart rental. Golf tournament, Eagle River
The Northern Lakes Catholic Communities host the seventh annual “‘Fore!’ our Youth,” a golfing tournament fundraiser to benefit Faith Formation programs. Tournament will be at Eagle River Golf Course. For more information go to www.northernlakescatholics.org.

Spaghetti dinner, Presque Isle

Chicken dinner, Strickland
Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Strickland, which celebrates its 130th anniversary this year, holds their chicken dinner on Sunday, Aug. 9. Outdoor polka Mass/dinner, Weyerhaeuser
Ss. Peter and Paul, Weyerhaeuser, hosts its annual Labor Day chicken dinner and polka Mass under a tent. Mass is at 10 a.m. Dinner begins at 11 a.m. Take-outs and outdoor dining available.
