The Parish Administrator is responsible for the supervision and management of all financial activities, administrative functions, human resources, church office personnel, parish facilities, and all related processes and systems for the parish. Under the general direction of the pastor, the parish administrator provides efficient and professional business and facility management leadership with the purpose of allowing the pastor maximum freedom to pro- vide pastoral care to the parish community. PARISH ADMINISTRATOR
Holy Family Catholic Church in Woodruff is seeking a Parish Administrator. The position supervises the general operation of the parish; coordinates the ministries of worship and faith formation; oversees the areas of communications and the maintenance department; and is responsible for the overall finances of the parish. Reporting directly to the pastor, the par- ish administrator works closely with him and serves to increase his availability for parish and sacramental needs. This is an exciting opportunity for one who has a 2- or 4-year degree in business or human resources, with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in the field of human resources, management and/or social sciences.
General description:
• Oversight of the activities of the Diocese of Superior in providing a Safe Environment required by the Bishop’s Charter for the Protection of Children and Youth.
• Coordination of Policy, Benefits and Payroll – the point person for tasks related to hiring, developing and managing employees, and is a resource to all employees on benefit and policy related questions.
• Supervisory experience preferred, with knowledge of human resource management and employment law.
• Ability to: coach others, think strategically, commit to the mission of the Diocese, implement Catholic Safe Environment policies and practices; awareness of abuse prevention and victim dynamics.
• Communication skills verbally and in writing; detail-oriented; technical skills in database management, proficient in MS Office and similar suites.
• Work well as a team member and independently.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
