Lenten fish dinners
Superior
St. Anthony Parish, Superior, holds Lenten fish fries Fridays during Lent, 4-6:30 p.m. Menu includes fried or baked fish, mashed or baked potato, coleslaw, vegetable, pickled beets, roll, dessert and beverage. Take-out available. Cost: $15 for adults; $7 for students; preschoolers eat free. Parish is handicapped accessible. Local deliveries available by calling 715-398-3261 Monday through Thursday. Ladysmith
The Knights of Columbus hold Lenten fish fries, 4:30-6 p.m., every Friday during Lent, at Our Lady of Sorrows School gym, Ladysmith. Menu includes baked or fried fish, baked potato or French fries, rolls, coleslaw, cake, milk or coffee. Cost is $14 for adults; $7 for grade-schoolers; preschoolers eat free. Bake sale items for purchase.

Ashland
The Ashland Knights of Columbus host a fish dinner on April 24, 4-7 p.m., at Our Lady of the Lake Social Hall. Menu includes fresh Lake Superior whitefish, coleslaw, potato salad, baked beans, dessert and beverage. Cost is $17 for adults; $8 for ages 6-12. Preschoolers eat free. Take-out available.

March 14
Lenten penance service, Minong
St. Mary’s, Minong, will hold a Lenten penance service, 10 a.m. Service include time for prayer, reflection and renewal. 715-378-4431.

March 15
Spring dinner, Haugen
Holy Trinity, Haugen, has a curbside-only spring dinner, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Menu includes pork, dumplings, sauerkraut, potatoes, gravy, dressing, corn, cranberries, roll, dessert and kolache. RSVP to 715-234-2032. Sponsored by the Catholic Order of Foresters.

St. Patrick’s Day Bouya, Butternut
Immaculate Conception, Butternut, holds a St. Patrick’s Day Bouya, starting with bingo at 1 p.m., followed by the Bouya, served family-style, 4 p.m.

Chorale hosts spring concerts
The Blue Hills Chorale performs spring/Easter concerts at Nathaniel Lutheran Church, Bruce, 7 p.m. on March 15, and at Ladysmith Christian Church, 7 p.m. on March 17.

Koinonia, Weyerhaeuser
A Koinonia weekend retreat takes place at Ss. Peter & Paul, Weyerhaeuser. The retreat begins Friday, 4 p.m., and ends on Sunday at 3 p.m. For information, contact Bluette at .

Fish Fry, Hayward
St Joseph, Hayward, will host a fish fry on Friday, March 20, 4-7 p.m. The menu includes deep-fried fish, baked fish, or both, twice-baked potato or French fries, dessert and beverage. Cost is $19 for adults; $9 for children ages 7-12; children ages 6 and under eat free. Carryouts available.
All event proceeds will support Regional Hospice Services & Palliative Care, providing compassionate end-of-life care in our community.

March 21
Lenten retreat, Grantsburg
Immaculate Conception, Grantsburg, will host a Lenten retreat, March 21, 1-3:45 p.m., followed by Mass at 4 p.m. The featured speaker is Fr. Jim Brinkman. Topic is “Hope and Joy or Gloom and Doom. 715-327-8119.

Retreat, Boulder Junction
St. Anne, Boulder Junction, hosts Br. Steve Herro from the Norbertine Order in De Pere. He will present, “Preparing for the Three Holiest Days of the Year,” at 10 a.m.

Chorale hosts spring concert
The Blue Hills Chorale performs a spring/Easter concert at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Weyerhaeuser, 2 p.m.

Roast beef dinner, Superior
St. Francis Xavier, Superior, holds its annual roast beef dinner, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., in the church hall. Meal includes roast beef, gravy, mashed potatoes, green beans, coleslaw, dinner roll and dessert. Tickets are $12 for adults; $5 for ages 6-12; ages 5 and younger eat free. Dine-in, take-out and delivery available.

April 9
Bible study, Boulder Junction
St. Anne, Boulder Junction, will host a six-week Bible study beginning Thursday, April 9, 9:45 a.m., and concluding May 14. Video series will focus on St. Paul’s letter to the Philippians when he is under arrest and awaiting trial in Rome. 715-385-2390.
