Bell Tower Residence, Merrill, is hosting “The Heart Still Remembers,” a seminar for caregivers of those with dementia, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 6.
Keynote speaker is Gary Joseph LeBlanc, author of “Staying Afloat in a Sea of Forgetfulness, The Aftereffects of Caregiving, Managing Alzheimer’s and Dementia Behaviors” and co-author of “While I Still Can.”
His writings, training and speaking events utilize his 5,000-plus days and nights of personal caregiving experience to help Alzheimer’s and dementia caregivers cope with the everyday challenges and emotional struggles of caring for the memory-impaired.
The seminar is open to the public and continuing education units are available for professionals. Cost is $10 and includes lunch. Seating is limited. Register by calling 715-536-5575.
