St. Patrick, Hudson, celebrated the installation of a new altar and ambo with Bishop James P. Powers Sunday, Sept. 24. The project began two years ago when the Knights of Columbus donated funds toward a permanent altar in honor of their 100th anniversary. Left, workers move the granite slab for the altar, which weighs more than 3,000 pounds and is supported by 600 pounds of metal work in the altar base.
