Bishop James P. Powers ceremonially closes the Diocese of Superior’s Holy Door, Sunday, Nov. 20, during the Mass to mark the closing of the Jubilee Year of Mercy, on what was also the cathedral’s titular feast day, the Feast of Christ the King. The jubilee was a gift, the bishop said in his homily, an opportunity to rediscover God’s love and mercy. “How fitting it is to stop and give thanks to the Father,” he added.
