Nearly 40 fourth-grade religious education students thanked community members for their service Feb. 22, during an hourlong event at St. Mary’s Immaculate Conception, Hammond.
The bishops of Wisconsin, including Bishop James P. Powers of the Diocese of Superior, have issued a special dispensation from adhering to the law of Lenten abstinence for Friday, March 17, to allow the faithful to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day.
On March 25-28, churches in Almena, Cumberland, and Turtle Lake will be hosting a parish mission renewal, facilitated by well-known Capuchin Franciscan preacher, Fr. Bill Cieslak.
