Fourth- and fifth-grade religious education students from St. Therese of Lisieux, Phillips, made individual crowns of thorns out of salt dough and toothpicks. After baking the crowns, students were encouraged to take them home and remove a toothpick each time they made a sacrifice for Jesus. The intention is to have all toothpicks removed by Good Friday.
