The cluster parishes of St. John in Prentice, St. Paul in Catawba and St. Therese of Lisieux in Phillips celebrated their first Bambinelli Sunday on Dec. 14, Gaudete Sunday. The tradition of the priest’s blessing baby Jesus figurines from parishioners’ Nativity scenes was started by St. Pope John Paul II and continued by Pope Leo XIV.
