The parishes of Rusk County Catholic Community welcomed community guests to not only be audience members but also star in a family musical, Bethlehem Bound. Upon arrival guests were welcomed and offered baked goods, coffee, and juice. Guests were then cast into one of four scenes directed by parishioners. Each scene’s cast practiced their scene’s song and made a corresponding prop while in a rehearsal room. The cast broke for lunch at noon where friendships and connections were made during an hour of food and fellowship. Guests practiced one more before the 2 p.m. performance. Parishioners not directly involved in the musical were asked to attend the performance as audience members. Despite the four separate scenes Bethlehem Bound’s storyline was cohesive; thanks to the hard work of three young parishioners: Jonathan, Brianna and Abigail, who held the main character roles. The Rusk County Catholic Community consists of parishes in Ladysmith, Bruce, Flambeau, Hawkins, Tony and Weyerhaeuser. (Submitted photo)
