“Safeguarding the dignity of every human person” is the theme of this year’s Catechetical Sunday.
Parishes across the U.S. will celebrate the ministry of catechists, formation leaders, Catholic school teachers and religious instructors Sept. 20.
Adele Svetnicka, St. Peter the Fisherman, Eagle River; Gwen Nies, St. John the Baptist, Webster; and Joanie McKeown represent the Diocese of Superior on the board of directors for the Wisconsin Directors of Religious Education Federation, an umbrella organization serving the state’s catechists. Svetnicka currently serves as WDREF facilitator.
