To honor the early church virgin and martyr, St Lucy, the fourth-grade students at Nativity of Our Lord School surprised all the teachers, staff and volunteers in the building with a sweet roll and coffee on Dec. 13. They all dressed up in the traditional Swedish St. Lucy costumes of white (to represent purity) and red (for her martyrdom). They learned that “Lucy” means light, and these students truly brought Christ’s light to those they served that day. (Submitted photo)
