K-5 faith formation students at St. Bridget, River Falls, “really responded to the call to put their faith into action this year,” said Diane Wengelski, parish coordinator of religious education. “They just blew past their goal of bringing in 1,100 pounds of food for the food shelf – they are at 1,262.” As promised, Wengelski dyed her hair purple and wore a Vikings jersey to class. Here, she poses with kindergartner Cody Rowekamp. To celebrate the achievement, Fr. Jerry Harris, pastor of the parish, treated students to ice cream sandwiches. The faith formation class has also raised more than $500 for Relay for Life, Wengelski said. (Submitted photo)
