Ordination to the priesthood on Pentecost

All are invited to the Cathedral of Christ the King in Superior on Sunday, June 4, at 4 p.m. to celebrate the ordination of Samuel Schneider to the priesthood. This Mass fulfills the obligation for that Sunday.

Ascension celebrated Sunday, May 28

In 2006, 28 of the 34 Ecclesiastical Provinces in the United States—including that of Milwaukee—transferred the observance of the Ascension from the Thursday of the sixth week of Easter to the seventh Sunday of Easter. The Diocese of Superior is a part of the Milwaukee province participating in this change, which is intended to allow a greater number of people to celebrate the feast in the context of the Mass. Therefore, the Ascension of the Lord in the Superior diocese is observed in 2017 on Sunday, May 28.

The couple has been actively involved with the Cathedral parish and school for decades. Their service and commitment will be celebrated at an award dinner Friday, May 26, on the UW-Superior campus.
