Led by Dan and Caroline Dirkes, the husband-and-wife evangelization team who co-founded 2Tim4 Ministries. Through programming, music, presentations, meals, and fun activities for all ages, The “Fire It Up” retreat will introduce participants to a life lived in the power of the Holy Spirit. The talks are open to children ages 11 and up, while children ages 5–10 will enjoy activities like a bounce house, crafts, video games, and face painting.
There will be a Tiny Tot’s Zone where parents can tend to babies while auditing the talks. Meals throughout the weekend will be enjoyed in a family atmosphere.
The retreat will begin at 4:30 p.m. on Friday and again at 8 a.m. on Saturday. The Morning Star Prayer Group, led by Deacon Michael Cullen and his wife Annette, are sponsoring this family-friendly retreat at St. Joseph Church, Barron as the Diocese of Superior’s 5th Annual Holy Spirit Conference.
Morning Star has been meeting at St. Joseph for praise and worship, Bible study, and prayer bi-weekly since 2005, and held its first Diocesan Holy Spirit Conference in June 2011.
