Sixteen students participated in the 2018 Rice Lake Knights of Columbus Free Throw Championship, held Feb. 1 at St. Joseph School, Rice Lake. Winners are:
Girls
Age 9: first, Harper Schommer; second, Maddie Yeager. Age 10: first, Anna Lipke; second, Emily Kalina. Age 11: first, Lucie Habas; second, Hannah Yeager. Age 12: first, Faith Peters; second, Morgan Hagberg. Age 13: first, Nyssa Sleik.
Boys
Age 9: first, Easton Gbeyetin. Age 10: first, Zachary Tatro; second, Gavin Curtis. Age 11: first, Ben Drost; second, Lucas Peters. Age 12: first, Tayte Schommer; second, Jaylen Richardson. Age 13: first, Harrison Lipke; second, Kole Klemme.
Medals were presented to first- and second-place winners. First-place winners in each age group advanced to the Feb. 17 district competition.
