Holy Rosary Catholic School fourth-graders recently explored the Ice Age National Scenic Trail at Mondeaux Flowage as part of the Ice Age Trail Alliance’s Saunters Think Outside program. Students, their teacher and a chaperone hiked about 2.5 miles of the Ice Age Trail with the help of Butch Clendenning, an Ice Age Trail Alliance volunteer and guide. Along the way, he taught students about how glaciers shaped Wisconsin and pointed out landforms left behind by the Ice Age. The Ice Age Trail is a nearly 1,200-mile National Scenic Trail that winds through Wisconsin, following the path of the last continental glacier. It is one of only 11 National Scenic Trails in the United States. (Submitted photo)
