On Sunday, Feb. 8, the Knights of Columbus Fr. Slowey Council 2963, Phillips, presented $2,500 to the Dean Kurth family, parishioners of St. John the Baptist, Prentice. The family has struggled to maintain their dairy farm since Dean, who was injured in a logging accident last fall, has been unable to work. The local KC Council applied for financial support from the KC State Council Charity Fund on behalf of the family; the donation was given to the Kurths in a short ceremony following Mass.
