The Lay Ministry Outreach Formation program, sponsored by the Diocese of Superior’s Office of Ecclesial Ministry & Diocesan Consultation, believes each person is called, gifted and empowered through baptism and confirmation to foster the mission and vision of Jesus. This call to holiness expresses itself in ministry in the home, the work place, the world, and within the Church community through Word, Worship and Service.
The mission of the outreach program recognizes, calls forth, affirms and supports the giftedness of adults in continuing Jesus’ work. The program provides participants the opportunity to enrich their knowledge and understanding of the Catholic tradition; grow in their spiritual life; and develop the skills necessary for effective outreach ministries.
The Lay Ministry Outreach Formation program is a two-year cohort program with a minimum commitment of seven Saturdays plus a retreat weekend each year. Classes are held on Saturdays; registration begins at 8:45 a.m. and sessions conclude at 4 p.m.
APPLICATIONS ARE DUE BY MAY 8, 2014
We are pleased to announce that although we encourage participation in the full cohort, participants may now attend individual courses as well. A full schedule of dates, times, courses, cost and other details can be obtained through your pastor; by contacting program director Chris Newkirk at or 715-394-0204; or by visiting the following link to the Lay Ministry Outreach Overview and Application: http://tinyurl.com/kpo533c
