Summer kick-off sale set for Minong

St. Anthony Catholic Church, in Lac du Flambeau, will hold a St. Kateri feast day celebration, 11 a.m. Sunday, July 15. The day will include a Mass celebrated by Bishop James P. Powers, followed by the feast dinner. All are invited to attend. For more information, call 715-588-3148.

School of Servant Leadership now accepting applicants

The Diocese of Superior’s School of Servant Leadership program is now accepting applications for the 2018-19 year. This program is a college level systematic educational, formational and transformational learning process taught by professors from Viterbo University in La Crosse and in conjunction with diocesan educators. It brings together those in various leadership roles – priests, deacons, vowed religious, lay women and men in parish leadership or those wanting to bring a broader vision of leadership to their immediate communities and secular circles; it is also a requirement for men discerning application to the permanent diaconate.

Beginning in August, the commitment is one weekend per month (Friday evening and all day Saturday) through April. The Diocese of Superior’s School of Servant Leadership follows a cohort model of adult learning. There is a limit of 25 participants; the deadline for registration is July 13. Wedding anniversary celebration to be held in Superior

The diocesan wedding jubilee celebration will be held Saturday, July 21, at the Cathedral of Christ the King in Superior. The 11 a.m. Mass with Bishop James P. Powers will be followed by a catered luncheon. Milestone years include those ending in a 0 or 5 (i.e. 10 years, 55 years); other anniversaries will also be considered. Each parish office has specific information to sign up.

Summer kick-off sale set for Minong

The Tri-Parish of St. Pius, Solon Springs; St. Anthony, Gordon, and St. Mary, Minong, will hold a baked goods and craft sale at Henson’s Country Market, in the foyer, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, June 2. There will also be chili, bratwursts, hot dogs and refreshments available. Proceeds will go to the Tri-Parish Catholic Charity Fund. For more information about the sale call 612-670-8541.
