Demonstrators in River Falls marched in a peace rally in August in response to the violence and rioting in Charlottesville, Virginia. “Fr. Harris at St. Bridget Parish in River Falls encouraged people to join this nonpolitical demonstration against hate,” said parishioner and UW-River Falls professor emeritus Jackie Brux. “He has also mentioned that the Peace Pole that stands outside our church is a good place to pray for peace.” The Peace Pole has six sides with the words “Let Peace Prevail on Earth” in 12 languages, including English, Arabic, Hindi, Ojibwe and Swahili. About 80 demonstrators participated in the two-day rally. (Submitted photo)
