Members of St. Dominic in Frederic, Immaculate Conception in Grantsburg and neighboring parishes went on a recent pilgrimage to Wisconsin’s two Marian shrines, Our Lady of Champion near Green Bay and Our Lady of Guadalupe in La Crosse. Stops were also made at St. Anthony’s Spirituality Center in Marathon City and St. Francis Xavier Cathedral in Green Bay. The journey was one of prayer, reflection and inspiration. One pilgrim said it was “a most fulfilling and inspiring pilgrimage. So moved by the blessings we all received spiritually and in friendships.” Under the leadership of Fr. Thomas Sagili, pilgrims lit devotional candles, prayed the rosary, walked the Stations of the Cross, celebrated daily Mass, shared fellowship and logged plenty of steps while exploring sacred grounds.
