Two churches in the Diocese of Superior will host celebrations commemorating the July 14 feast day of St. Kateri Tekakwitha.
Bishop James P. Powers will celebrate a Mass in honor of St. Kateri, Sunday, July 17, at St. Francis, Red Cliff.
The 11 a.m. outdoor Mass will be followed by a luncheon.
St. Anthony of Padua, Lac du Flambeau, is also holding its second annual Celebration of St. Kateri Tekakwitha beginning at 11 a.m. Sunday, July 17. The Mass will be followed by fellowship and feasting.
