The Diocese of Superior’s second annual College Send-off Retreat had a “small but intimate group,” according to summer intern Bryn Rademaker.

Hosted at Our Lady of Lourdes in Dobie, the Knights of Columbus provided the main course for a potluck meal contributed to by the students. Attendees also enjoyed fellowship and games, as well as an hour of adoration with confession available. The evening ended with a bonfire, and about 15 students stayed for the overnight campout.

“Our hope of fostering connections between these incredible young adults throughout the diocese came to fruition,” Rademaker said, “And those that stayed to camp out became even closer through the experience and by praying Liturgy of the Hours before attending Mass together.”

Her favorite part of the retreat was walking around and hearing conversations and laughter from everyone.

“The Lord was present in each moment, and I pray that the retreat was a little kick-start to their prayer-filled school year,” she concluded.
