Almost 20 young adults from around the Diocese of Superior traveled to Our Lady of Lourdes in Dobie for the annual Summer Send-off Retreat Aug. 7-8. They played ultimate frisbee, grilled brats, went for a Rosary walk and joined adoration of the Blessed Sacrament and Saturday morning Mass. “We were even joined by the Pope himself (see picture),” joked JulieAnne Johnson, who works as an administrative assistant for the diocese. “The retreat had a restful and relaxed feel to it, and was a great way to wrap up the summer and transition into whatever is coming next – back to college, back to work, etc.,” she added.
