Six of the young adults who form part of the Superior Disciple team led a confirmation retreat at Our Lady of Sorrows parish in Ladysmith on Sunday, Feb. 10.

The theme for the retreat was “Verso L’Alto,” taken from a quote by Bl. Pier Giorgio Frassati. Translated from Italian, it means, “to the heights,” a reference to students’ journey to the heights of heaven.

One of the leaders, Bryn Rademaker, shared her experience from the day, which included talks, small groups, fun, fellowship and the sacraments of confession and Eucharist through Mass and adoration.

“We were all baffled by the incredible participation and thirst for the Lord by all of the participants. What an honor it was to serve in our beloved diocese with these Superior Disciple teammates – the loving collaboration and bond of these individuals made it so much fun to help lead this retreat. We’ve got an amazing community of young adults in the Diocese of Superior full of virtue, selfless service and hearts after Christ.”
