Benjamin Wright has been appointed to lead the Challenge Center, a Catholic Charities Bureau program for people with disabilities based in Superior. He began work Aug. 1.
He brings more than 25 years of experience working for people with disabilities. He has served as director of similar agencies in Ottumwa, Charlotte, and Maquokea, Iowa; in Midland, Texas; and in Madison.
Wright holds a master’s degree in organizational leadership from St. Ambrose University, Davenport, and a bachelor’s degree in industrial technology from the University of North Dakota, Grand Forks. He is a hydroponic specialist.
“I was born and raised in the Twin Ports, and nothing could make me happier than to be able to work in my chosen career in the Twin Ports. I grew up going to St. Michael’s in East Duluth. I am a lifelong Catholic,” Wright said.
