St. Bridget Church, River Falls, is holding a free lecture to honor the memory of former faith formation director Doris Murphy.
Dr. Jacquelyne M. Witter, a retreat leader, spiritual director and chaplain from the Twin Cities, presents “What does it mean to be ‘church’?: The enduring legacy of Blessed Pope John Paul II – The promise of Pope Francis,” 7-8:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 11, at St. Bridget, 211 E. Division St.
Witter will discuss the legacy of Pope John Paul and the promise of Pope Francis in light of the 50th anniversary of the Second Vatican Council.
Parishioners of St. Bridget established the Doris H. Murphy Memorial Lecture in memory of a teacher, writer and lecturer who had a passion for catechesis, social justice, liturgy and Vatican II. To learn more, call 715-425-1870.
