Our Lady of the Lakes Magnificat will host a Magnificat workshop featuring Sr. Linda Koontz, Friday and Saturday, Oct. 4-5, at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Walker, Minnesota.
Friday’s workshop will begin at 6 p.m. with registration at 5:30 p.m., and Saturday registration is at 8:30 a.m., with workshop starting at 9 a.m. The cost of the workshop, with meals included, is $25.
Sr. Linda has been a sister of the Holy Name of Jesus and Mary since 1960. She spent eight years teaching religion in Washington State before being led by the Lord into her ministry.
In 1971, after having experienced the power of the Holy Spirit in her life, Sr. Linda began serving full time in the Catholic Charismatic Renewal.
Sr. Linda has truly gone “out to the entire world” to share the good news. She has ministered with gifts of knowledge and healing in numerous countries. Always present in her ministry is the life-giving word of God.
Currently, Sr. Linda is based in El Paso, Texas, and ministers to the poorest of the poor in Juarez, Mexico, through The Spirit of the Lord International Mission. Evangelization, healing and love for the poor are gifts she brings to the body of Christ.
She is an evangelist, preacher and teacher of God’s Word. Having experienced the baptism of the Holy Spirit more than 30 years ago, she has kept the fire of the Holy Spirit alive in her own life and has set many people on fire with love for the Lord. The gifts of the Holy Spirit that St. Paul encourages us to “eagerly desire” (1 Corinthians 14:1) are manifested in her ministry.
