Nineteen members of the Diocese of Superior made a pilgrimage Sept. 20 to venerate relics of St. Padre Pio. The Cathedral of St. Joseph the Workman, La Crosse, was selected as one of 12 U.S. locations to be part of the tour celebrating the 130th anniversary of St. Pio’s birth. This year is also the 15th anniversary of his canonization. Relics included his glove, crusts of the wounds, cotton-gauze with bloodstains, a lock of hair, his mantle, and a handkerchief soaked with his sweat hours before he died. (Submitted photo)
