Twenty-three students participated in the 2018 Rice Lake Knights of Columbus Knowledge Contest, held Feb. 1 at St. Joseph School, Rice Lake. Winners are as follows; all attend St. Joseph School, unless otherwise noted:
Math
Fifth grade: first, Julia Holthaus; second, Stepanie Kucko, Rice Lake Middle School; third, Amorie Bowen. Sixth grade: first, Kamryn Klemme; second, Hailey Saffert; third,Charley Randall. Seventh grade: first, Ben Drost; second, Lauren Holthaus; third, Harrison Lipke. Eighth grade: first, Kole Klemme; second, Kolten Schieffer; third, Jacob Von Arx.
Spelling
Fifth grade: first, Lucas Peters; second, Anna Lipke. Sixth grade: first, Ashley Von Arx. Seventh grade: first, Faith Peters. Eighth grade: first, Abigail Dykstra.
Plaques were presented to first-place winners and medals to second- and third-place finishers. First-place winners in each category will advance to the diocesan competition at our Lady of Sorrows School, Ladysmith, Saturday, March 5.
