The students at St. Mary’s School, Tomahawk, create projects every year to be auctioned off at the school’s annual gala. Past projects have included paintings, pottery and flower boxes. This year, fourth- and fifth-grade students worked with Deacon Dave Bablick and parishioner Mark Roppuld to build Adirondack chairs. The chairs will be part of this year’s silent auction. The chairs were built in the shape of the state of Wisconsin. Deacon Dave donated the supplies and pre-cut the pieces ahead of time. Part of the project was to have students receive experience with power tools and the building process. (Submitted photo)
