Sunday, Nov. 10, marked the second Faith, Family & Fun Day Event at Our Lady of Lourdes Parish in Dobie, with activities focused on the Thanksgiving, Advent and Christmas seasons.

Moved by the desire to be seen, known and thus able to expand and serve, the Charismatic Renewal Service Committee for the Diocese of Superior has been busy.

Marena Hoogland, formerly of the Diocese of Superior, became a Benedictine sister of Annunciation Monastery, Bismarck, North Dakota, Oct. 19.

Thomas Ericksen, a former priest of the Diocese of Superior, was sentenced Sept. 26 in Sawyer County Circuit Court to the maximum 30 years in prison for molesting boys while serving in diocesan parishes decades ago.

On Sunday, Oct. 6, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., New Dawn Pregnancy Resource Center, Woodruff, held an open house to showcase their new ultrasound machine.
