On April 5, 14 members of the parishes of St. Paul the Apostle in Catawba and St. Therese of Lisieux in Phillips consecrated themselves to the Mantle of Mary during a Mass celebrated by Fr. Lourdu Raju Madanu.
Mother’s Day in the footsteps of Mary
This year, Mother’s Day falls on Sunday, May 14, just one day after the Feast of Our Lady of Fatima. Together, these two days make up a special weekend in this month already dedicated to our Blessed Mother. It is fitting that our celebrations of motherhood and Mary coincide because she is the guardian of mothers in this world. Mary is the model for motherhood in both joy and sorrow, and she shows the way of mercy at all times.
Confirmation in Phillips
The Confirmands of St. Anthony Parish in Park Falls, St. Therese of Lisieux Parish in Phillips, and St. Paul the Apostle Parish in Catawba received the Sacrament of Confirmation on Saturday April 29, 2023.

State Supreme Court to decide if DOS ministry is religious
The Wisconsin Supreme Court agreed Wednesday, April 20, to reconsider a lower court decision saying that the Diocese of Superior’s Catholic Charities Bureau—which ministers to those in need by feeding the poor, serving the elderly, and caring for the disabled—isn’t sufficiently “religious.”
Eucharist ‘the real thing’ for new Catholic
