Once again we are all hurt, confused and angered by the recent news of Archbishop McCarrick’s abuses, the grand jury report from Pennsylvania, and the accusations against Pope Francis.

As we seem to be in the height of the flu season, the question has been raised as to whether or not we should be sharing the Common Cup or even shaking hands at the Sign of Peace
As the nights of Advent lengthen, may we not only yearn for the warmth of the sun’s rays, but may we truly long for the warmth in our heart that only the Son can give.

As a Church, we react to human suffering and try to aid those in need. However, many in Wisconsin are not aware of a pervasive blight in our state that preys upon women, children, and men. It coerces and tricks individuals into performing uncompensated work often in degrading circumstances and with dangerous consequences. This scourge is human trafficking, and it is on the rise in Wisconsin and throughout our nation.
