St. Anthony of Padua’s Council of Catholic Women put on their annual Holiday Fair on Nov. 12 at St. Anthony Church in Park Falls. 

“When I was little, my Dad was in the Knights. Every Christmas, we’d go to the church basement for their Christmas party, and we’d all get a bag of candy from Santa,” Dave Horejsi remembers.

Rice Lake area Knights of Columbus raised $14,000, which was then matched by its Supreme Council, to cover the cost of a new ultrasound machine the organization recently donated to the Rice Lake Pregnancy Help Center.

On Dec. 4, the Northern Lakes Catholic Communities of St. Albert, Land O Lakes; St. Kunegunda, Sugar Camp; St. Mary, Phelps; St. Peter, Eagle River; and St. Theresa, Three Lakes, invited retreat leader Ryan O’Hara to help parishioners spend the day walking together and growing closer to Christ.

Our Lady Queen of Peace in Manitowish Waters held a procession and adoration inspired by the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops’ Eucharistic Revival on Wednesday, Nov. 16.

The seventh-grade religious education class from St. Therese of Lisieux in Phillips created a service project called “Christmas Angels.”
