What a wonderful time of year! School starting up again is such a joyful time of year. All the teachers are busy getting ready and students are excited to see their friends again – there is so much joy and excitement in our 14 Catholic elementary schools. Who could ask for a better show of love and joy for our Lord, Jesus Christ!

The Society of St. Vincent de Paul’s Sacred Heart of Jesus Conference in Superior held a Jubilarian Celebration at their annual picnic on Aug. 10.

The fall months have special connections to Mary – the Sept. 8 feast of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin and October’s dedication to the devotion of the rosary – and these parishes dedicated to St. Joseph all offer opportunities for quality family time and personal reflection in prime locations for enjoying the autumn beauty of the Northwoods.
